Looking forward to speaking at what will be a great charity event at the Royal Southern Yacht Club in Hamble. With a history stretching back to 1837, the club now sits in a great venue overlooking the lovely River Hamble.

I’ll be talking about a one of the most colourful of previous Commodores of the Club, the Earl of Cardigan, the man who lead the Charge of the Light Brigade at the Battle of Balaclava in the Crimean War, to say he was a colourful character would be an understatement, and of course I’ll be adding some anecdotes and experiences of my own in my Genealogy work. It’ll be an informative and entertaining night and all in a good cause for the Rona Project.
